I'm referring to <strong>Satellite Visibility</strong> app in this post. Once you find details of an ISS pass, touch its entry and the app will reveal further details. I usually then touch the "Ground Plot" button in the bottom right screen corner. It shows the overhead direction of the ISS for the stated time. Your right, there's no compass function within the Satellite Visibility -- I rely on the iPhones built-in compass for directional assistance.

I did dig up SV on iTunes and their web site, but there's no mention there about compass functions, either!

Perhaps you're thinking of Sky Safari or StarWalk.

Say, maybe you can explain how to get this to work. On my copy of ISS Visibility, there is no compass function, no track the ISS in the sky. Have they put out a new app? I see that the one you wrote about is called Satellite Visibility.
